Below ia a local map of Kalathos. The village is on the main road so you cannot miss it, to get to the villa you follow the main road from the airport to Lindos. As you approach Kalathos you will see "cody's bar" on the right hand side and just before the shell petrol station take the small road on the right, it winds its way over a rise then down into the valley to a sharp left bend and up again to the church. The villa is then on the right hand side and is the second one in from the road.It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the local shops from the villa, and a bit longer to walk back due to the incline, we have walked it on many occasion to get a paper and some fresh bread from the bakery.
The beach would take about 30 minutes to walk because there is no direct route, you have to walk along the main road first and then down to the beach.
The bus service runs frequently down th east coast and is very goodand well priced, we usually have bus timetables in the villa along with other local information and flyers.
You can also hire cars from many places in Rhodes, they can meet you wherever you choose (airport or villa) and generally have all different size cars for different requirments.
